Last Friday a pilot ferrying a Cessna Skywagon across the Atlantic suffered a fatal crash while attempting to land on runway 33 at Bangor International Airport (KBGR) in Maine. There was a gusty crosswind at the time, and as the plane touched down, it did a ground loop, and the left wing clipped the runway surface. Apparently the pilot then attempted a go around, which ended in a stall / spin. A young kid happened to be videotaping at the time and recorded the crash - . Things go wonky around 30 seconds in. Attached is an audio clip starting when the plane was at 1800' on the approach.
