16 OCT: SWA 900 Missed Approach at KBUR?
« on: October 16, 2018, 07:18:43 PM »
I was on SWA flight 900 from DEN to BUR today (16 OCT) and we had a missed approach to RWY 15 around 9:30am local time. We were about 10 ft from touchdown so there had to have been a close call with other traffic on or near the runway. I've never been on a flight that had a missed approached and it was intense. I'd be interested to hear the radio chatter if someone knows where I can find it. Or if anyone heard the incident, I would like to know what happened!

Thanks for your help!

Looking for the audio now. Will add a clip if I find anything.

*Edit, clip added.

Wow thank you so much! It’s not a particularly short runway is it? Looks like it’s 6886ft.

It's over a mile long, so that isn't bad for a B737. SNA has runway 20L at 5701ft.
