I have to say, this seems to be yet another example of inadequate contingency planning at the airport for this sort of emergency. Witness the distinct tone of exasperation  from the crew when arrangements to evacuate the aircraft aren't being progressed as expeditiously as might be expected in the circumstances. The audio clip spans a period of over 2 hours.
