Title: 13 Nov: Delta #45 (EIDW to KJFK) diverted to St Johns with a mechanical issue

The aircraft was met by emergency service vehicles.

I was on this flight!  It was sulfur smell in the cabin... (like electronics burning), started turning stuff off and it went away..  They had to get us a new plane though lol

Is there any way to find out which ATC has the initial emergency call? ( if thats the right lingo)

Gander Oceanic, most likely? But if they were far enough out to be using HF, probably hard to pin down precisely.

If you can pin down when people first noticed the smell, you'll be able to figure out an approximate time range for when to start looking.
