It turns out ZNY is using 124.775 today...

Thanks for the updates, from what I can tell 124.77 is subbing for 134.32 today.

Yeah, that's what it looks like.  124.775. is handing off to ZDC 133.975...

Actually alphazulu is the one that put me on to the 124.775 frequency use today...

Ron & Jet,
A sincere thanks for your specifics on todays use of 124.775 [ie. Subbed for RCAG (Millville), and the to/from frequency handoffs, etc..], much appreciated!
I had a nice day monitoring air-comms high up in the hills.

And I can say with 100% certainty 124.775 is NOT transmitting from the Cedar Lake VOR, which I'm presently blankly staring at.
 :?

Nice trip to south N.J. though.

The latest FAA data still lists 124.775 as a Washington frequency located at Cedar Lake. The Radio Reference Database lists it correctly as New York Center and shows the transmitter located at Big Flat near Harrisburg.

Just reading your posts...nice back and forth guys. 118.55 has been used in place of 134.95 since mid-October. Not sure why - 128.05 is def still in use. You can hear consistent NE-bound hand-offs from ZBW 133.45 (via KHYA feed) and sothbound hand-offs to 128.05 and 118.55 on the CZQM-Moncton feed. The 118.55 transmitter is listed as Waterboro, ME... Maybe the KPWM feed could hear it? -its fairly close. I do a lot of listening from central NJ and on road-trips with my portable scanner. BTW...the FAA listings of freqs never seem to be updated! They STILL list 132.15 as Barnegat, NJ (which has been 133.5 since ~2007) and 133.5 as North Mtn, PA (has been 132.15 since the swap in ~2007)...126.025 is also listed from Barnegat, but I have NEVER heard the ZNY-KATHY sector from land...anywhere... I DID catch the ZNY-HANRI sector (133.525) on a trip to Wilmington, NC a few years ago.

118.55 is in use due to issues with the normal frequency.  Maybe another few weeks.  The PWM site can't hear Waterboro...too far...low indoor antenna in use.
