ZMA 126.975 RCAG Miami ?
« on: March 15, 2011, 04:40:29 PM »
Mondays (March 14) FAA Daily National Flight Data Digest (NFDD) lists 126.975 as a new low altitude ZMA frequency located at the Miami RCAG site. Can anyone confirm that this frequency is in use and what sector it's used for ? Thanks. DJ

Thanks. :-) I haven't checked the Daily NFDD in awhile. I would have fallen off my chair if I saw that first.
A bad time for this to happen-My mast and VHF antennas are out of business at the moment. I wonder what's being replaced or added?

I have a recent outdated AFD on hand  it had 132.95,133.85,133.2,133.95,132.4,127.7,126.325, and 124.7 as listed. I guess the one that is now gone has been replaced by 126.975 ?

I verified all of the VHF frequencies

Thanks for posting that, I'm trying to update my ARTCC database, this helps. Just to confirm, you can hear the controller from the MIA area on all these frequencies ?

Comparing your notes to the latest AFF (March 10 - May 05) and sector charts (February 7) I have.

127.225, 128.175 and 135.600 are not listed in the AFF.

Sector 41 is named Junar (135.60) and Sector 42 is named Bimini Low (133.85)

127.70 is listed in the AFF. Status of this frequency ?

The rest is the same.

I guess the one that is now gone has been replaced by 126.975 ?

The one gone is 133.95.

Thanks for the updates, now if only the FAA could keep their own database up to date.

Thanks for the sector names update. Yes I can hear the controller on:  124.7    126.325   128.175   132.4
133.2    257.2   281.5    323.0    and   353.9  from the Miami RCAG. The selkey frequencies  127.225    133.85  and   135.6  I have heard transmitted out of the Miami RCAG.   I have also heard 132.45 and  133.550 transmitted from the Miami RCAG.  133.95 and 127.7 are dead. I think 135.6 and 133.85 replaced them. The old frequency 135.225 was replaced by 126.325. Back when they used those frequency I did not have the ability to listen to Miami Center like now. I only listened to local towers like FLL, FXE and PMP just to give you a idea where I am. I also just recently (a few weeks ago) have had the ability to monitor the UHF frequencies, but that's another story :-D

On March 22, 2011 the daily NATIONAL FLIGHT DATA DIGEST shows that the new frequency 126.975 has been deleted  Looks like it was a error.  Also on that date they added the frequency 128.175  :? Funny thing is, that one has been used for years ...it's NOT NEW!
